Here I provide a demonstration on the use of the open-source FEM tool Dolfinx which is part of the FEnCSx Project.
The demonstration presented here is for the analysis of a small linear induction motor and the effects on end flux fringing. Because this example is composed of only four stator slots, the percentage of flux fringing to usable CEMF flux is quite high.
The following FEM tests show that an effective force flux may be generated despite the force loss imposed by the fringing.
